Omg! Okay, sorry I missed the past few days, its the weekend and I didn’t have to work :p So, its now time to update!
Thursday was boring, ignore thursday. Friday was friday! Yay for a weekend with no work! Didn’t do much, went for beer and nachos with my man, then we climbed a hill, smoked a bunch of pot and conversed about stars, galaxies and life in general. Ever think, when looking at the stars, that one of those stars out there is really a solar system similar to ours, with someone like us, looking up at the same black sky looking at our solar system as a tiny star so very far away? Kinda trippy aint it..
Now, today, today was full of insane win! I have had tickets to see Dragonforce since fucking June. Its been killing me to wait this long. Today was the concert, finally! Went out shopping this afternoon, got things for when I move next month. Waited for my man, well call him… Mike for now. Mike came to pick me up before the show. We went and gorged ourselves on delicious sushi and tempura (omg so full still :p ) then made our way to the venue to see Dragonforce and Sonata Artica. Bought some shots and beers while we waited for the doors to open. When the doors opened, I pushed my way to the front of the stage, because if I’m not right against the stage, I’m not happy. :p I got my spot, right in front of the stage and waited for the show to start. I think the openinging band was Faking Dawn, they weren’t bad. Then on came fucking Sonata Arctica! They totally rocked the show! They played Fullmoon and 8th among many other awesome songs.
After Sonata Arctica finished their set the stage hands cleaned up the stage and made way for Dragonforce! I totally rocked out \m/(-_-)\m/ My neck is rather stiff now :p I was so close I could literally see up the band members noses. They played a wicked set! I ended up getting 5 guitar picks, gave one to each of my lil bros and one to my roommate keeping two of em for myself! Ended up with the lead singers spit/water spray in my mouth 0_o After they played an encore of Through the fire and the flames, I shook the lead singers hand, and the guitarists, and the bassists, and the keyboardists hands as well! It was such an awesome show!
And now, I’m at home, ears still ringing. Basking in the epic awesomeness that is me :p Time to curl up and go to sleep with sweet dreams of power metal and contemplations of wether or not I want to see Children of Bodom in a few days… Mike has already seen them twice so I might not bother
Hopefully the pics I just added show up on the blog :p
Anyways, off to lala land. Laters all!!
